Leading provider of drinking solutions for the workplace, Eden Springs Group, has appointed a new managing director to oversee the company’s operations in Switzerland. Pascal Despraz joins Eden Springs Switzerland, bringing a wealth of management and operational expertise. With overall responsibility for the Swiss subsidiary, which has a turnover of 20 million Swiss francs, Despraz will manage 78 employees spread over ten different locations, and will lead the forthcoming launch of the company's coffee and hot beverages solutions.
A graduate of l’Ecole Hôtelière de Genève (a hotel management school in Geneva), Despraz has over twenty years experience in the food and drink sectors, including a number of senior-level positions for la Cave Vaudoise - a wine conglomerate - and most recently, five years at the SV Group, a Swiss catering company with operations in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. At the SV Group, Despraz rose up the ranks from regional manager to business development manager and, finally, operations director, managing more than 200 employees and a turnover of 25 million Swiss francs.
"Despraz brings a new dimension to our Swiss company," comments Raanan Zilbermann, CEO of Eden Springs Group. He continues: "With his solid experience of the hotel and catering industry and a strong track record in business development, Despraz will undoubtedly help us to develop our market share in Switzerland. Despraz’s appointment strengthens our commitment to offering industry-leading drinking solutions for the workplace, coupled with unparalleled customer service."
With a network of branches and water sources throughout Europe, Eden Springs is Europe’s leading supplier of water in the workplace, offering direct delivery of bottled water for water coolers, plumbed-in filter systems and small pack bottles (0.5l and 1.5l PET bottles). Eden Springs also offers a range of coffee solutions as part of its wider drinking solutions concept. The Group's Swiss subsidiary currently has more than 23,500 water coolers installed throughout the country. The division employs 78 staff across its bottling plant in Dorénaz, its headquarters in Préverenges, a site in Regensdorf, and eight local branches.
As well as plans for the imminent launch of a range of coffee machines and capsules to complete the company's offering as a full-service B2B drinking solution provider, Eden Springs Switzerland is also pushing ahead with plans to build up its offering of drinking solutions for the home.
