The Great Finale: Eden Springs backs Polish charity event of the year
Europe’s leading workplace drinks provider, Eden Springs, has furthered its support for leading Polish charity, WOSP (the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity - www.en.wosp.org.pl
), with a package of event sponsorship and a donation of almost €70,000. The company was the main sponsor of two key events for leading Polish charity day, The Great Finale, on 11 January, including Big Run Warsaw.
Eden Springs was the main sponsor of this 5.5km run through the centre of Warsaw, which attracted over 5,000 participants and is the biggest televised charity event of the year in Poland. All proceeds gained through the WOSP charity support children’s hospitals in Poland, raising money to buy much needed medical equipment. As part of its support, this year on 11 January, Eden Springs also gave away hot beverages and starter packs including t-shirts and hats to race goers. Artur Kaniewski, president of Eden Springs Poland, commented, “We are proud to be a part of this charity initiative that is unique worldwide. We’ve decided to continue our support to WOSP until at least 2017 as a main sponsor of the Program for Diabetics and Big Run Warsaw.”
In addition to its event sponsorship, Eden Springs Poland established an initiative to generate funding to WOSP while growing Eden’s environmental credentials at the same time. In 2013, Eden asked its clients to move from paper to electronic invoices. For each client that converted, Eden donated €3 to WOSP. To date, 25% of clients have converted and Eden has donated more than €19,000 to WOSP from this initiative.
Raanan Zilberman, CEO of Eden Springs, comments: “As part of our Every Drop Counts pan-European CSR campaign, Eden Springs is supporting a range of charity initiatives in 2015. In Poland, we’re proud to support people in need through WOSP, as well as the participants taking part in the Great Finale events in this year’s race. As a business we are committed to helping our local and global communities, and helping our clients do the same.”
