Eden Springs acquires Kafevend to become one of the UK’s leading workplace coffee suppliers

Eden Springs, Europe’s leading provider of workplace water and coffee solutions, has acquired UK coffee vending supplier, Kafevend. This is one of a number of recent acquisitions for Eden, which reflects the company’s ambition to become the leading provider of coffee and water solutions in the UK and throughout Europe.

Both Eden Springs’ and Kafevend’s customers will benefit from the merger, which will result in an even wider selection of services and drinks solutions, as well as a greater level of technical innovation and service.

Crawley-based Kafevend has an annual turnover of over £20 million and employs approximately 100 people throughout England and Scotland. The company is one of the fastest-growing workplace vending machine suppliers in the UK and specialises in the provision of sophisticated coffee and drinks vending solutions, supplying a range of beverages such as the Flavia brand, provided by Mars drinks. With a client-base of approximately 7,000 corporate customers, ranging from SMEs to large multinationals, Kafevend has built a strong reputation for a high quality of service and providing flexible supply options for its workplace coffee solutions.

Kafevend is the largest partner of Mars drinks in the UK and has a number of vending solutions including single-serve systems, in-cup systems and mains-fed coolers. Eden Springs UK, including Kafevend, will be managed by Jean Marc Bolinger, executive chairman, Brian McPherson, managing director of operations and John Collins, commercial managing director, previously MD of Kafevend. Chief executive officer of Eden Springs Europe, Raanan Zilberman, comments: “Kafevend is an exciting acquisition for us as it has vast experience in offering workplace coffee solutions, which will help us expand and enhance our current product range. Both organisations also share a total commitment to customer satisfaction. “For the past 20 years our strategy has been to expand Eden’s operations through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. The acquisition of Kafevend, which follows the purchase of Shakepeares and Garraways in the UK, will enable us to grow and consolidate our leading position within the business beverage market.” With a network of branches and water sources across 15 countries, Eden Springs serves 500,000 offices across Europe with water and coffee solutions.
