Eden Springs acquires Shakespeare Coffee Company, expanding its product offering



Europe’s leading water cooler supplier, Eden Springs, has acquired Shakespeare Coffee Company via its subsidiary in the UK, reflecting the group’s strategic decision to strengthen its product offering. The integration of Shakespeare Coffee Company’s 4,500 customers, and its invaluable knowledge of the coffee industry, will be a great stepping stone in Eden Springs Group developing its coffee solutions.

Eden Springs Group, via its Eden Springs UK subsidiary, has acquired Shakespeare Coffee Company, one of the UK’s largest independent coffee operators. This is another acquisition in the coffee industry for the group, which reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its coffee and hot beverages business unit.

Eden Springs UK’s and Shakespeare Coffee Company’s customers will benefit from the takeover, which will result in Eden Springs UK delivering a full-scale hydration package including mains and bottle-fed water coolers, hot chocolate, tea, coffee and soup.

Distributing more than 600,000 water-coolers to business customers annually, Eden Springs Group is the market leader in the water cooler industry. The company has a turnover of over 250 million Euros and employs more than 2,300 staff.

Warwickshire-based Shakespeare Coffee Company has an annual turnover of over 5.75 million Euros, and operates approximately 4,500 machines throughout Scotland, England and Wales. The company specialises in premium coffee brewing systems and vending machines, with a client-base spanning small to medium offices and large, national, multi-location businesses.
